Elizabeth Hineman, MD

Biography
Dr. Elizabeth Hineman, MD has been practicing family medicine and obstetrics at Scott County Hospital since 2006.
Originally from Iola, Kansas, Dr. Hineman came to Scott City after completing her residency at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri where she was Chief Resident and completed an obstetrics track. She received her Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Human Biology from the University of Kansas and her Medical Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. At KUMed, Dr. Hineman was named a University of Kansas Scholar in Primary Care.
Dr. Hineman is a member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine and the Kansas Academy of Family Physicians (KAFP). She has previously served as the KAFP District 7 director, a board member and a professional development committee member. She is also lead author of the article, Clinical Protocol: Breastfeeding Promotion in the Prenatal Setting, published in Breastfeeding Medicine, Volume 4: No. 1, 2009.
Dr. Hineman is married to Andy Hineman, who farms with his father, Don, in the Dighton area. The Hineman's have three young children that keep them very busy!
Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Hineman enjoys spending time with her family and church family, traveling, running, and keeping track of it all in her family scrapbooks.
