Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is a health profession that specializes in treatment and specific training and exercises for physical limitations and musculoskeletal injuries. We offer physical modalities for pain relief, swelling relief, and muscle relaxation; and therapeutic exercises for improving joint mobility, muscle strength, cardiovascular and muscle endurance, walking ability, and other functional limitations.

Many of our patients receive directed programs for total joint replacements, sports injuries, back and neck injuries, stroke and neurological injuries, balance difficulties, wound care, and weakness and limited self-care from other diseases or surgery.

Physician referral is not required for physical therapy services. Most insurance companies will cover these services, however it is the patient's responsibility to confirm with their insurance company if physical therapy services are covered. Our licensed physical therapists and certified physical therapist assistants at Scott County Hospital are ready to serve you.

Brendan Eggleston, PTA, Rehab Coordinator
I graduated from Scott Community High School. I attended Kansas Wesleyan University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts for Athletic Training/Sports Medicine. I then attended Colby Community College and graduated with an Associates of Applied Sciences to become a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant. I worked for Key Rehab upon graduating at Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City where I was the Director of Rehab for 2 years. I still continue to work for them from time to time when they need extra help. I started at SCH as PRN and then elevated to full time when I left the nursing home. I love treating patients of any ages, making people laugh and generally making sure they have a great time when they come to see me. I love to treat our patients like they are family because they are! I am from this community, and love to see people I've helped treat in the community back doing the things they love! No matter how complex your diagnosis may seem, or how awful you are feeling I will try my best to help you meet your goals, and give you tips and exercises to keep you performing at your best!
