OB Services

When a baby is on the way, our obstetrics department has many accommodations and services available to insure the best health care for both you and your baby.

Our care starts with optional birthing classes for expecting parents. Classes cover a wide range of birthing issues, including fetal development and care, labor techniques, newborn care, and much more.
Let your doctor or nurse know if you are interested in attending a class 2-3 months before your due date. A current schedule for birthing classes can be found by clicking here. You may also contact the hospital at (620) 872-5811, ext. 235 for more information.

Once your bundle of joy is ready to join the world, you'll enjoy excellent one-on-one nursing care in one of our two spacious LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery & post-partum) rooms. Rooms include ample space for mom and dad and a Jacuzzi tub for mom to relax in. Once your baby arrives, he or she will stay right in the room with mom until discharge.

Our OB nursing staff and doctors Lightner, Hineman, Hoffecker, Nichols, and Cupp will also work hard to honor any birth plans or special requests you have throughout your pregnancy.
